In this programme, you’ll learn foundational data skills that apply across functions and industries. You’ll learn to analyze data and build models with Excel, query databases using SQL, and create informative data visualizations with Tableau.
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
This is an introductory programme and has no prerequisites. In order to succeed, we recommend having experience using a computer and being able to download and install applications.

In this programme, you’ll learn foundational data skills that apply across functions and industries. You’ll learn to analyze data and build models with Excel, query databases using SQL, and create informative data visualizations with Tableau.
Introduction to Data
Learn how to use statistics and visuals to find and communicate insights. Develop Excel skills to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data in a spreadsheet.
SQL for Data Analysis
Learn to use Structured Query Language (SQL) to extract and analyze data stored in databases.
Data Visualization
Learn to apply design and visualization principles to create impactful data visualizations, build data dashboards, and tell stories with data.

What does this programme entail?
The program consists of two paths to choose from: Learners who hold the required prerequisites can enroll into a 2-4 month, self-guided learning journey with the rest of the knowITgetIT cohort. Students have the opportunity to enroll in one of three Nanodegree programs: Business Analytics, Data Analyst and Cloud Computing for Business Leaders. Furthermore, and to further enhance their skills, eligible learners may also enroll into 1 of 4 short courses. Click here for short courses.
How can I benefit from this programme?
Students will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects designed by industry experts to build their portfolio of skills, and learn one of three core skills sets to prepare them for a career in a job of the future.
What does the learner journey look like as part of this program?
The knowITgetIT program consists of a 2-4 month, self-guided learning journey with the rest of the knowITgetIT cohort. Students have the opportunity to enroll in one of four Nanodegree programs: Business Analytics, Data Analyst or Cloud Computing for Business Leaders. Throughout your entire learning journey you will have access to an online community platform, where you will get to ask other students and Session Leads for support to help you through any learning difficulties or even to network!
What are the eligibility criteria to enroll?
Applicants for the first phase must meet the following criteria:
# Singaporean permanent resident or national
# 18 years of age or older
# Meet the technical requirements required for the relevant Nanodegree
# Must be committed to the timeframes of the programme
Are there any fees for enrollment?
Singaporean citizens and permament residents have the opportunity to apply for the SkillsFuture SG subsidy and receive up to 90% subsidy.
When will the applications open/close?
Applications are now open until September 30, 2023.
When does the program start?
The program will launch on Oct 16, 2023. Learners will be invited to join a live webinar "Kickoff" event to cover the details of the program and join a cohort with their peers to start their Nanodegree that day.
Can I join two Nanodegree Programmes at the same time?
Unfortunately, this is not possible as you will only be accepted in one Nanodegree programme only at a time. We recommend that you apply for the Nanodegree programme you are most interested in and after you graduate you can apply to other Nanodegree programs in the future cohorts if the program is still available.
Is this programme online, in-person, or a combination of both?
This is a fully online program with a live-virtual component. Throughout the cohort, students get to learn through online videos in their classroom and interact with peers, coaches, and instructors on their community platform. Students will also have a weekly virtual session led by a Udacity Session Lead to make sure you stay on track. You may also choose to meet with your community members and peers in person, if you wish.
How can I apply for the SkillsFuture Subsidy?
Students are eligible to apply for a SkillsFuture subsidy and receive up to 90% subsidy for the program fee. Deadline to apply is till Sep 30th, 2023, all accepted students must register on this link in order to keep their enrollment active.
How many hours a week should I expect to spend on my coursework in order to finish on time?
Between instructional content, quizzes, projects, and other course-related activities, we recommend allocating 10-15 hours a week for learning.
